Position Explained:

The characteristic position of all lift chairs, the lifted position is achieved by an electric motor in the chair base that raises the entire chair slowly upwards. Perfect for those with difficulty getting into or out of a standard recliner, the lifted position gently eases you into a standing position or allows you to safely lower yourself into the chair without having to bend or stoop.

When fully lifted, the angle of the seat remains relatively constant— eliminating the fear of "falling out" of the chair. And because the lifting action is controlled by a constant pressure switch on the remote control, you are in complete control of the lifting movement. Remove your finger from the switch and the chair will stop moving immediately.
